Playwright

Alexander is a script writer and theatre maker with extensive experience in writing and

producing performances for the theatre and live performance. He has collaborated with many theatre companies across the United Kingdom, developing work for theatres in London, Lincolnshire, Manchester, Nottinghamshire and online performances. He is Creative Director of Split Infinitive, an award-winning theatre company dedicated to creating intimate and engaging original performances.

Alexander’s first production, The Concept of Love, a rock-opera revolving around multiple relationships, was first performed at the Stamford Corn Exchange in 2012. Following the success of the production, Alexander later set up Conceptual Arts Theatre Company to help promote new writing across the East Midlands and use as a platform for his own writing. Through Conceptual Arts, Alexander produced a number of productions including a reworking of The Concept of Love and his farcical The Understudies which toured in 2017.

Following the closure of Conceptual Arts Theatre Company, Alexander established Split Infinitive alongside his wife, Helen. Split Infinitive is a theatre company dedicated to creating intimate and engaging pieces of original theatre. Through Split Infinitive, Alexander has toured his work around the UK, receiving multiple five star reviews for his work and award nominations, as well as being the recipient of the John Beecher Award for ‘original and challenging work with high production. value’ from the Buxton Fringe in 2023.
